I have set my cal goal to 1200, my BMR is 1712 and i work out about 600 every other day.

your bmr is the calories your body needs just to function daily if you just laid in bed all day. If your bmr is ~1700 then you should eat at least 1700 cals in a day. 1200 is too low for a majority of people on this site & might cause you to plateau (quit losing weight) quickly. They're saying you should eat 2300cals in a day so after you've worked off the 600, you're left with a NET of 1700 or your bmr.0
