cardio then lift...or lift then cardio?

Options
Is it better to lift and then do cardio...or vice versa.... or does it not really matter. I usually do cardio for about a half an hour and then lift. I am just wondering if it would benefit me more to switch it around.

Thanks :)

Most advice I've seen says lift, then cardio. Cardio first won't hurt anything; you'll just have a better strength session if you do that first because cardio tires you out much faster.

I don't know the "scientific" answer to this, but, I lift then do cardio. If I do cardio first, I run out of steam before the end of my lifting and I can't lift as much. I do heavy weights. It just doesn't take as much energy to do the elliptical...

i've heard don't do both in the same day but for us busy people who need to get it where we can, do weights then cardio for the same reasons mentioned above by others :)

    Lift then cardio.

Cardio first will greatly impact the strength you do afterwards.

The other way round won't have as much of an impact.
