1 FULL week with out my weakness!!

Well, I DID IT!!! 1 full week with out my weakness, DR. PEPPER!! I know its not that long but im still excited!! I dont even crave them anymore!! The best part is... all i've been drinking is water, water, and more water!! Sometimes I'll add lots of lemon and 1 packet of splenda to mix it up and its WORKING!!! Usually, when I would try to give it up before, I would always give in an say "one won't hurt" but it did because I would start drinkin them again! Just thought I would pat my self on the back!

To everyone else:

Ya'll have been the BEST motivation!! :flowerforyou: I read your success stories an just feel SOOOO encouraged! Keep up the fantastic work!!

    That's fantastic, I too love Dr Pepper, but my big issue was Pepsi. I used to have it daily and I too have now switched to water, feels great doesn't it! Congrats to you on getting through the first week with a smile :flowerforyou:
  • CONGRATS to you on breaking your Dr. Pepper habit!!! Habits are so hard to break, but I've found once you go awhile without the "it" thing...it becomes a NEW habit and just gets easier! Happy for you!

    congrats i too love soda. not just one in particular but soda. i have been trying to stop drinking it but its so hard. any tips how you made it that long i cant even make it a day without sipping some of my gf's soda:laugh:

    OMG! Dr. Pepper was my beverage weakness too : p) I didn't realize how much of it I was drinking until I joined here.... I still allow myself one every once in awhile because I do love it.....But it's weird because I used to crave it all the time and now it's more like..."Hey, I'm having a salad for dinner, I think I'll have a Dr. Pepper with it"...It's awesome how that happens!

    Girl!! YOU CAN DO IT!!:bigsmile: I just kept myself busy!! Also, I always had water with me! that helps! I would go to sonic and get a RT 44 water, i would ask for extra lemon and extra lime, and then i would add a packet of splenda!! I swear by that stuff! I even carry it around with me in my purse where ever i go! I remember my first night of workin out, when i was done i was CRAVING one so bad, it sounded sooo good!! but i just remembered how bad they are! it would have undone all my hard work and prolly made it that much harder the next night...so i just drank water!

    GOOD LUCK!! LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS OUT FOR YA!

    My weakness is Dt Coke. Keep it up. I'm trying to replace it with water. It's getting easier. The less I drink, the less I crave.

    If you want that carbonation once and awhile, then go for a Diet Dr. Pepper. I dislike most diet drinks, but I LOVE this one. If I ever have a craving for pop then it's Diet Dr. Pepper, Coke zero, or if calories allow, then a 8 oz. can of Coke.

    I limit myself to one can of pop a day so I don't miss out on drinking a lot of water. Congrats on giving it up!
