Ok- I have a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor and I am SSOOOO afraid to go by the calorie burn that it gives me BECAUSE my normal resting heart rate is 90bpm and so it's already "fast." Since my heart rate is already quite fast even when I am just resting wouldn't that throw the results/accuracy of my HRM off? Especially the calorie burns?.... **ALSO I have hypothyroid so my metabolism is slow too.**

For instance....when I am on my treadmill and I walk 3.0mph for 60 minutes MFP says that I should have burned about 250 calories....my HRM told me I burned OVER 500calories!!!! JUST WALKING!!! Sometimes my HRM reads even higher than the treadmill and other workout machines..... I'm 5'6", 160lbs, F, and about 19%BF....

So should I go by MFP, my HRM or a guess in the middle or just which ever number is smaller?....

Thanks

Go by the hrm. I have a high heart rate myself, resting is between 90-100 and used to be over 120 before working out. I easily burn over 1000 in an hour.....depends on the workout.
