Dry Spice rub
I found this on the internet today. I tried it on some raw chicken strips and then grilled them. Excellent! I want to try it on shrimp, too. These are ingredients I had on hand, which is always nice. It is slighty spicy, so you might want to adapt milder or hotter!
1 tsp dried onion flakes or powder
1 tsp dried garlic flakes or powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1.5 tsp cayenne(red) pepper
2 tsps salt
1 tsp chile powder
Rinse meat. Pat dry. Rub spice mixture on both sides and grill(or cook however you want to).
This made enough for 2 lbs of chicken strips. I didn't figure the calories, probably negligible.
