NSV: My pants! My pants!

While the scale is decreasing very slowly (doesn't really bother me too much), I can tell my body comp is changing for the better. Most of my adult life, I've been AT LEAST a size 42 pants. A few years ago I had lost quite a bit of weight and got down to size 38. Over the next few years, I gained some back but was able to maintain a size 40.

Turns out, I was able to get into my 38s again! Granted, it's the roomiest of the size 38 pants I own, but I call an NSV! For giggles, I tried on my 38 jeans, and I am very close to being able to wear them again (comfortably).

Keep it up! My smallest I can recall is 42 as well. I am a 44/46 right now and can't wait to get around 38 and then just keep going. Hey I would consider it a NSV if i could barley button them. Better than not even being able to pull them up!

    THANKS EVERYONE!

My scale says I've lost three pounds, but I've lost at least an inch around my waist. I always thought it was roughly 10 lbs. per inch around the waist. So strange how the body works.

Also, for those of you who are skeptical about eating more to weigh less. It does seems to work. I *was* eating at 1650, below my estimated BMR. Now that I'm eating a bit more, I can tell my body is changing for the better. However, I think I'll purposely give it days where I eat less, and then do the opposite to keep my body guessing. Overall, I will be eating more.
