You just told my story!
haha are you ravenous too? for all the right things? (such a ridiculous complaint!!!)
I still don't know how I did when I was eating only 1200 caloreis...I was on tracking and losing till a point I stopped. Then I was told to add workout and increase calories...that's when all the troubles came. Now I am eating 1640 and I am hungry...I just had a whole wheat sandwich with turkey breast and lettuce. Seriously I could eat another one...I wonder what is really happening to our bodies here...
I hear ya, I think I would keel over from shock if I ate that low again but at the time I was fine. Are you a similar height and weight to me if you dont mind me asking? And are you still losing? I mean I dont mind eating more If It means Im losing but nearly 2 months with nothing and eating more/balancing that with excercise and Im kinda like... maybe I should calm down with the ol food train
Hi, dear, I am a few inch taller than you and a few pounds heavier. I lost about 10 pounds last year by eating 1200 calories then I hit the wall and stopped losing. Then I tried exercise, weight lifting, eating more...now my weight went back to square one. I have not figured out any way to make progress again yet. but I have to ...It's no turning back process. I will report back once I find out more...Good luck to you. You sound really sweet and cute.
Aw thank you! And you too! Its comforting to know youre in a similar position even if it sucks. I hope you find something that works soon. And are you tracking inches as well as weight? I mean even if it takes ages the weight will surely come off. Then we'll be the ones advising all the hungry people Good luck!! x0 -
haha, this is great logic!
hehe which part of it??0 -
But with lean gains you eat more calories on the days you train so its like a relief day
Check this beauty out cant get easier than that

Actually acording to this calculator I would be losing .1lbs a week and not lose 10 pounds for about 2 years. Should it really take that long? I know 'the last 10lbs' but I was hoping for about 6 months and 1.5-2lbs loss a month. Is that unrealistic?0 -
So you gradually decrease your calories, until you start to lose a pound a week, don't forget those calorie equations are not gospel they are a guestimate at best. You can manual input your own custom bmr calories into that calculator.0

Im really starting to think the fasting would be the easiest way for me to keep a weekly deficit. Do you stick to a 16 hour fast or do you do the full 24?0

16 maybe 17, never 24 lol don't do that!0

Thats great 3 days of the week wow, at the moment I cant imagine that but Ill start off and see what I can manage. I used to naturally be more of a faster and I always felt pretty good. Its just since Im eating more regularly I find it hard. Considering all the positive things I hear about this its worth a try! Its great finding something that works for you0 -
To be honest, the only way I've managed to stick with this weight loss lifestyle is due to "earning calories" when I'm hungry. If I'm hungry but low on calories, I walk for a couple miles on the treadmill (or outside now that summer has arrived). It takes time, but a few miles will earn back enough calories for some tummy-filling goodness.
I've found that after a few weeks, my stomach is smaller, and it's easier to eat less. I don't think I'd have gotten to that point if I couldn't "earn" back calories when I want ice cream.
Good luck, it's gotten easier for me after a few months to eat 1400ish calories a day without being hungry.0 -

Not for 24 hours, that is far too long! I do it for 16-18 hours, usually. Sometimes longer but not usually. It helped me so much. I used to be hungry all the time. Now I am only appropriately hungry.0 -
It would be helpful to read your food diary. Some foods create a sugar spike, then crash, then cravings. A higher protien diet with complex carbs would keep your blood sugars stabilized. Snacking on nuts also is a great blood sugar stabilizer.
Some times dehydration gets confused as hunger. Try to drink more water, herbal teas, i make flavored waters by adding a splash of juice to water.
Some medical conditions need special diet considerations, ie Diabetes, hypoglycemia, PCOS, Celiacs, even wheat allergies can cause frenzied hunger. Good to get a health check up.
Keep investigating, you'll find a happy medium.0 -
I'm 5'1 and 172lbs I eat at about 1200 cals, and I am pretty satisfied. I eat lots of protein and limit carbs to 100grams a day or less. Carbs make me hungrier and I tend to be hungrier when I eat more carbs. Carbs spike my sugar levels then I crash and want to feed on more carbs.
I snack on nuts, cheese, eggs and stay pretty full. Good luck!0
