I treated myself today too

 Went to Golden Corral (Buffet) for dinner. :drinker:
Since I've learned so much in the last couple months about healthy eating, I avoided all the pastas and breads and casseroles. I had some plain vegetables along with several kinds of beef and chicken. I ate only a tablespoon or so of each thing, and then sampled 4 different desserts (all but one were sugar free). With them also, I only took one bite. I was very full and felt deliciously sinful. I noted each thing I ate on a notepad and logged in on MFP when I get home. I double checked the stats of the items I picked (some were similar but not the exact dish) by checking the restaurant website.
And guess what? I did not go over on my stats today. In fact, I am under and will probably have a snack here shortly to use up at least part of my exercise calories.
I do know that the food I ate wasn't the healthiest, cleanest around, but hey..it tasted good and was a really nice treat after being strong and strict all week. I'm so happy! I thought I'd be over by 1000 calories and have another week of work to just get rid of that...to break even, lol.

That is great you were able to eat in moderation. I think we have to remember that one bad day of eating will not make you gain all your weight back just like one day of good eating will not make you lose all the weight you need to lose.:flowerforyou:0

Good for you!
We all deserve a cheat day now and then...but I guess it was more like a treat day since you ate well enough to have a little left over. You should be very proud that you did well to stay on track. Give yourself a BIG pat on the back
Tonight was my cheat day of the month and boy did I blow it, but I do not feel bad...it was my anniversary, so I planned on it being not so good in the calories/fat/carb department. I will admit that those stuffed shrimp tasted oh so good!!!! Yum! Oh yeah the fried zucchini and glass of wine was pretty darn good too :drinker: And I cannot forget the small popcorn at the movies, but I did contain myself and passed on the butter, but really I don't think it would have matter much at this point
My first fried foods in 4 months, and probably my last for quite sometime.0 -
You showed more restraint than I could in the same situation.0

Awesome job! You did so good, you should be proud of yourself. Moderation is the key, anything in moderation won't make or break us.
Way to go! Keep up the good work! :drinker:0
