Tendonitus in the Foot

I have self diagnosed myself with tendonitus in my foot, I have pain across the top of my foot when walking which started shortly after returning from a run last night. Apart from when walking (and I presume running), the pain is not that bad.
I don't intend to stop exercising, but I am concerned about what forms of exercise I should still be doing (I will avoid long walks and running).
So, if anyone has experienced this issue or knows about sports injuries, can they run a quick eye over the type of exercise I would normally do across the week and point out what I should avoid.
Swimming
Step
Legs, bums and tums (in the USA I understand that this is called butts & guts
)
Strength training (both upper and lower body workouts including weighted squats & lunges)
Elliptical
Stationary bike
Rowing machine
Thanks in advance for your help

It sounds as though you have tendonitis or even a sprain of the inter-metatarsal ligements, they cause acute pain, but also heal well, even though you may get the odd stabbing pain every so often in the next few months
Exercise - you can continue with low impact aerobics, elliptical exerciser, static bike and swimming, after sessions elevate and ice. If you are not asthmatic a short course of NSAID's such as ibuprofen 400mg three times a day can be very beneficial.
If the pain does not ease, please see someone, because the pain from a stress fracture is very similar0 -
The legs, bums and tums, should be fine as long as you modify and do low impact during the cardio bit, but lay off the step for a while as it is very taxing on the foot0
