ok so on my lunch break (1hr) I run up and down the 4 story high steps in the three stair wells in the parking garage three times each.. then walk up the outer portion of each floor on my way up then the inner portion on my way down.. when I get home I either do an insanity workout or p90x2, currently in a challenge group so I have a print out of which to do each day.. I was trying to keep under 100 grams of carbs but found that when I did do that I did not have the energy to get through my evening workout.. I do well when I hover around 150-170 grams of carbs.. trying to find your optimal intake levels is a pain in the butt.. can no longer eat anything fried or with too much oil in it without becoming violently ill so that is good, will keep me away from those LOVELY french fries

when you are counting carbs, are you counting fiber too? You might have more success counting "net carbs", that is, total carbs minus fiber and sugar alcohols ( many "diet" foods will break this down for you--like atkins bars, drinks, etc). Fiber and sugar alcohol have minimal effect on blood sugar, so you don't have to count them.

I have been doing lower carb for 2 weeks, and I can do 65 minutes of hill intervals on the treadmill, plus 25 minutes of strength training with plenty of energy on 21 carbs (12 net)....

yeah I will look into that... I started doing this to make sure that I was not getting too much fiber... and also to make sure I was eating enough calories.. hell I used to struggle to get over 1000 calories, now with all the exercise I find that I am dragging *kitten* if I don't eat 1500 calories a day... good thing I love to beat the hell out of my body with these crazy workouts!! hey worse addictions out there then sweat!!
