Advice Needed for Cutting Sugar

I have a pretty vicious sugar pattern. I usually cut it all out (except fruit), then slowly add it back in thinking I can "handle" it, and then before I know it I'm eating it daily and I'm craving it around the clock. Any advice on how to stop this? Cold turkey, eliminating it all? Slowly cut back? Allow a little each day? This has been ongoing for a long time and I won't to feel better while not feeling completely deprived, if that makes sense. Thanks for any advice.

Have you considered sugar substitutes like stevia or if you can't afford that splenda or Aspartame? I put it in kool aid and drink it when I don't want to have a glass of soda. I also use premixed drinks like Crystal light.

I have the same problem...MAJOR sweet tooth. Be aware of sugar substitutes though, they may be low cal/no cal but they are really bad for you. I've tried cold turkey and it does not work for me. So I'm trying to give myself small doses lol.. instead of a 44oz sweet tea, I just get a small, or instead of a snickers i'll get a dark chocolate hersheys bar and only eat a piece or two.

I'm right there with you. I HAVE to have sweets at the end of the day... if I don't, I lose my mind! Ha! I would recommend cutting back slowly *or* substituting with things that are sweet but not horrible for you. I use strawberries and light cool whip A LOT. :)
