I carry most of my weight in my hips thighs and butt. I have been doing 45 minutes of cardio and a little bit of weight lifting 4 to 5 times a week. My problem is if I do weights with my legs I build too much muscle and don't loose inches. What can I do to loose inches in these areas?

Hi! I'm Sarah.
I definitely am not an expert, but I've heard that the best way to lose fat/inches is to do more strength training--about 20 intense minutes 3-4 times per week.Must be intense, too....stretching 10 lb weights, sit ups crunches, etc.
I've seen the same thing since I do mostly stationary bike---I have gained muscle but haven't lost much fat.
Also, you might try a spinach/yogurt protein shake I have found:
1 cup Greek plain yogurt (or regular plain yogurt)
1 package frozen spinach
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 banana frozen (peel & slice before freezing)
1 cup almond or coconut milk (or skim works ok too)
blend/liquefy for about 3-4 minutes
You can also add strawberries or other fruits. This is a good meal replacement shake/smoothie.
I also try to eat about 4-6 servings of veggies per day and not many carbs. (veggies have plenty of carbs in them anyway) and very little salt.
good luck to you!0
