PLEASE TELL ME I'VE GOT THIS RIGHT! :/

I think I've figured it out.

I've been eating a low calorie diet and doing cardio for a few months and I've lost 10lbs but now my weight loss has completely stalled.

I can't just carry on eating less and exercising more or my body will completely shut down.

So I need my metabolism to work faster.
And the only way to speed up metabolism is to eat more.
And the only way to stop the extra food being stored as fat is to get some more of the fat-busting factories we call muscles!

So if I up my calories and start weight training, I should kick start my body into losing fat as well as toning up, right?
Right?!

Well, having looked at your diary and having seen that you are rarely less than 500 calories under net, I would say

YES, YOU NEED TO EAT MORE!

I mostly eat way under my calories (sometimes a little over! But mostly not) and I exercise a lot. After a 6lb loss in two weeks, it's now all gone a bit wrong. But I don't want to up my calorie intake as I am already comfortable with what I eat. I think I will tailor my food more to my exercise though. I do a lot of cardio and a lot of weights (at a sweaty gym level, not just walking places) so I think I should act accordingly with protein intake, etc. I think it's all about trial and error until you figure out exactly what you want to achieve, what your output is and therfore what your input should be. My metabolism is ridiculously fast normally so hopefully I'll suss my balance ASAP! Good luck little sis, you'll be on track again before you know it. You are already looking amazing xx

It is definitely all about what is right for you. There is no magical weight loss solution that fits everyone!

I'm about to start 30DS so that should hopefully get me going! :)

a lot of people lose weight quite quickly the first couple of weeks and then lose heart. Most of those 6lb was water weight - losing 3lb a week beyond this period is not healthy when you only have 15 lb to lose. you should be aiming for 1lb a week maximum, switching down to 0.5lb fairly soon. Put simply, this is to ensure that you lose fat not lean body mass; doing exercise helps stop muscle loss.
