A lot of people recommend drinking a lot of water to lose weight. Is drinking Cordial the equivalent or should it be pure water?

i dont see how cordial would make a difference, as long as its sugar free. i always drink my 8 glasses of water a day and atleast 7 of those are cordial. its not doing me any harm!

Fluids are fluids. If any drink has calories however, it needs to be tracked just as well.

I don't know what everyone else does but only count pure water without anything added to it.

I miss cordial :( I can't find anything here that tastes even close to it, crystal light and all that tastes like powder to me, even dissolved in hot water :(

Just a quick comment. I actually never heard of cordial but it is important to take into the amount of sodium in water with added flavors. I would recommend just some plain water or water infused with some fresh fruits like lemons, limes or both.

I don't log water at all, because it's a nuisance. I feel I drink more of it when I don't think about exactly how much I'm drinking.

As for not counting water that has anything added to it, that's really not counting all your water then. Your stomach doesn't know if the water is by itself or not.

I had 2 cups of water, got on the treadmill for half an hour, drank 2 cups of water while I walked/jogged.
Drank another 2 cups of water afterwards.
Drank protein powder mixed in about 4oz of water.
Drank another 2 cups of water since.

Is that really that much different than drinking my protein powder mixed in with 8 cups of water?

I think that drinking cordial is the same as long as there's no sugar in it, which there is in traditional cordials for sure! But maybe if you can get a diet version that's fine.
