how to burn calories without exercise?

i was wondering what where good things to do to burn off calories without actually jogging, swimming, playing football etc. Like does some sort of housework burn calories or any things like that please let me know :happy:

Yes...anything you do to move your body burns calories. Cleaning, gardening, mowing the lawn, playing with your kids. Heck, just breathing burns a few cals throughout the door. Of course, it's best to get your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes/3X a week. You can log in the above mentioned activities into the exercise database, how long you do it, and then it will tell you about how many calories you will burn.0

I think that if we could lose weight by our daily activities, a lot of us wouldn't be on this site :laugh: But you can definitely break a sweat doing some heavy duty housecleaning, walking a dog, taking stairs and parking farther from the store, buying reusable bags and carrying your groceries to the car rather than rolling the cart. Just some ideas. But I know that in the US we are a country that is fortunate enough to have mass transit, so we're not huge walkers or bikers for the use of transportation, so planning exercise seems to be a must do.0
