How do you weigh/log fruit?

How do you weigh fruit? I had a grapefruit this morning and weighed it before peeling it. So it was 400 grams. In the database the largest grapefruit I found was 230 grams. So was my grapefruit just freakishly big (it is the only size grapefruit I always eat) or are the ones in the database weighed after peeling? Same with apples. Are the weights in the database with the cores in or just the part of the apple you eat? This is a difference of 100 calories, so I don't really want to log it wrong. For now I am logging it with the skin on/core in so that I don't give myself too little calories. But honestly if I could eat 100 more calories a day because I am overestimating that would be great. LOL

Generally I weigh my fruit with out skin, seeds and needless shenanigans!
If you are not going to eat it, don't log it.0 -

Ditto. I clean/prepare all the fruits and veggies I plan to eat, THEN weigh them. I never weigh an entire orange because I don't eat the skin. I never weigh an entire banana because I don't eat the skin. I don't weigh an entire apple because I don't eat the core. *edit, what I do is cut it off the core, generally it comes down to 4 sections, then I weigh that. Same with foods like peppers, I get them cleaned up and cut (tops removed, seeds, membrane, etc) THEN weigh the prepared pieces. Same with something like an avocado, I actually scoop out the portion I plan to eat and weight just that. I wouldn't eat the skin or the pit ...0 -
Same here. I weight what i'm going to eat. I leave peels on if they are edible, and take them off if they're not. I also have one of those apple corer things, so i never weigh the core. I have noticed though, that there is freakishly large fruit out there. I never realized a big apple is actually two servings. I try to buy average size looking fruit now.0

I must be the only jerk looking for the raw fruit entry that give me a size. Medium apple, large grapefruit? I would agree with everyone else though, only log what you're eating, if you're not eating the skin and everything weigh after you've got it ready to eat.0

I don't, I guestimate and if I'm off who cares? It's fruit, good for you.0

There are entries that go by size rather than weight (e.g. 1 large banana 7- 7 7/8", 1 medium nectarine). I use that instead.0

I weigh it.....And then at the end I weigh whatever is left......I subtract the difference......That's what I ate0
