What are my chances at convincing a woman to agree to do this at the gym? If she weighs 135lbs, I could probably do 10-15 reps depending my my grip

This is a goal for me and my fiancee. He's already super strong, now I just need to get a little smaller... (He can lift me with no problem, but presses and things are still waaay out of the question.)

Cool. That's really cute to read that he can do that.

I had a boy bench me when I was tiny in highschool (I was probably 80 lbs and he was 200+, I'd do anything for a boy's attention back then). It was difficult to stay stiff as a board and he almost needed someone to help keep me from rolling off. My bf tries now but I am a lot heavier... it hasn't worked yet.

Just by your weight alone, I wouldn't have a problem. Problem would be getting into position and lifting you w/o rolling off.

My new goal is to get down to 100lbs just so you'll lift me :blushing:

Are you being sarcastic?? lol ...

As at 200-pound woman, I'm definitely bragging that my fiancee can lift my *kitten*. Just throwing that out there - he's strong as *kitten*.

I don't think it'd be hard convincing someone to be lifted, there are a few ladies out there that would want that attention (or compliment of being light enough to lift). Just be careful on judging a ladies weight, it is a precious number to a lot of us and sometimes looks can be deceiving (and we may exaggerate from time to time).

Not at all. I can lift 200 lbs no problem. But lifting a person at that weight is much diff. so again, that's cool

Aren't you like 5'10"? I just need to get my benches up to like 160lbs... (I don't know how much you weigh, that's how much I weigh).

correct thumb placement with the left hand could mitigate much of the concern over grip strength.

My boyfriend and I tried this tonight. He was strong enough... but I couldnt keep my balance. Fail.

    We'll practice.
  • I let my friends jump over my head with their skateboards and *kitten* all the time in high school, if I was retarded enough to do that I'm sure trying to let someone bench press me wouldn't be too much of a big deal LOL

I'd be a challenging weight for you, but probably doable.

IMO, the issue would be one of trust. Plus, the weight distribution is going to be different from regular weights, likely different enough to pose some additional challenges.
