A fitbit is a really cool pedometer. It looks sorta like a clothespin, and it has ONE button on it. I got mine in the mail yesterday and today will be the first full day that I have worn it.

It tells time, steps, miles, flights of steps (10 vertical feet =1 flight), calories burnt...and there is a little flower that grows as you are active--I had it almost full grown with my treadmill workout. That being said---without my manually inputting it, it had a pretty accurate record of my mileage, calories burnt AND pace for my workout. Blew my mind. Today is my "easy" day, so I only walked 2.8 miles...but just doing normal everyday stuff, and I am pretty sedentary, I am up to 4.5 miles so far today.

It is expensive at $100, but if it is going to give me a fairly good record of how many calories I burn every darn day, it is worth it. That way I know if I am eating enough!
