I graduated the bridge to 10k programe when I ran 10k this morning.

Completely shocked myself as I hadn't trained for a week and had been eating unhealthily while on holiday.

10k is far enough for me though, no immediate desire to stretch out to the half marathon. Well not yet :)

For those interested you can read the whole story on my blog...

Congratulations! I am working on it now too. I have my last 5K this weekend and then the next race is a 10K. A little set back with some broken ribs, but I will be back shortly.

Congrats! I worked my way up to 60 mins using that program, then got hit by a 3 week (undiagnosed) asthma attack. When I started up again, I decided 5K is my spot, and I can do those 10Ks as my long slow run.

Nothing wrong with knowing what distance you prefer. Now I just work on speed instead of distance.

Broken ribs? Ouch! I bruised one when I came off my bike last summer and that hurt like hell, can't imagine what broken ones would feel like - hope you heal quickfastnotslow !

Hope the asthma clears up! I totally surprised myself with the 10k this morning, I thought I was still a couple of k off the pace, last weeks holiday seems to have jet powered me !
