Flexibility.

I've been working on my flexibility for a year or so now.
I've done dynamic stretches before workouts, static after.
Foam rolling.
PNF stretching (like in relax into stretch.) This is the only one that makes a difference - but it doesn't help long term.
I'm just as inflexible as I was before. Not quite sure where to go from here.

I always heard that in order to actually increase flexibility, you have to stretch like 5 times a day. I stretch in the morning when I get up, a few hours later before workouts, a few hours later (hardcore status) after workouts and maybe once before I sleep. It just depends on how I feel at the end of the day.
Or maybe it's just genetics. I've been flexible since I was a little girl and never did anything like gymnastics or stretching sports of any kind.0 -
Try doing yoga, it's supposed to loosen the muscles and help you relax your body.
If not, try simple stretches, then aim to push yourself further.0 -
Agreed. Yoga.0
