Any age 60+ ladies to connect with?

I've been a MFP member since Feb but am now trying to focus on tracking meals and workouts. I'd love to connect with some more "experienced" ladies who have the same age related issues I do. I love walking and zumba but am starting to notice problems with my knees if I am a little too vigorous with exercise. I am really motivated right now but I'm afraid I'll slip back into my old self-sabotage ways once I start to lose a couple pounds. Does this sound familiar??

Does it sound familiar?? Does a bear have hair!! Your story is almost a duplicate of mine. I am 68 and I know exactly what you mean about the knees, etc. In my mind I can run, jump and easily climb stairs, but, oh boy, does my body ever rebel! Add me if you'd like. I have lots to lose (100 lbs) and, hopefully, nothing to gain except good stuff!

I'll be turning 60 in September and joined MFP last month. I have about 50 pounds to lose and would be happy to be your friend. I hear you loud and clear regarding the problems with vigorous exercise. All I am doing right now is walking two miles a day and doing a few stints on my stationery bike. I am hoping that as I get more conditioned I will be able to attempt more physical stuff but so far I am losing weight which is the reason I am here.

I'm 75 and a member since April. I had trouble witth my knees when I was doing body pump (weight lifting) so I had to give that up. Now I walk 20 min a day at 2.5 and lift small weight. If you have to give anything up, don't let it be walking. Zumba is real physical isn't it? You're welcome to add me as a friend. Good Luck.
