is it all about calories in-calories out?

4 years ago i was eating around 1600 cals daily with no exercise and i was losing 2 lbs per week for 2 months.
i was 16,5'5 tall,starting weight 150 lbs.
how was that possible?

    yes but still? my bmr is 1332 at the moment ( 146.6 lbs )

    I plugged that into the Body Weight Simulator at http://bwsimulator.niddk.nih.gov/ - it doesn't include 16 year olds so I lied and said 18. ?At 16 their may be additional growth and stuff going on.

    After 30 days weight was predicted to be 143.5 lbs, after 60 days 139.7 lbs. Body fat 29.1 > 28.4 > 27.5%

    It assumed your initial RMR was 1462 and activity level resulted in a daily expenditure at baseline of 2193 cals/day.

    So you did better than it predicts, but you were younger than it allows for. If I turn on the "uncertainty" range if gives me lower weight values of 141.5 and 135.7 lbs. So 14.3 lbs in 2 months or 1.67 lbs/week.
