My current weight is 94 kg, from 105 in late feb. I'm on 1600 cal diet, work out 4-5 times a week for 45-60 min, mostly cardio. I plan to get to my ideal weight, 55 kg, on august 15th, 2013. So I'm going from obese to ideal weight. Is it possible to reach in 1-1.5 year?

Sounds like it should be.
I want to hit my goal weight by November but things have been a bit slow, I am only losing half the amount I thought I would in the same time frame. I think 1kg a week is probably fairly optimistic and you should expect less so you don't get disappointed, then if you actually do lose 1kg or more it's a pleasant surprise.0 -

I expected to lose 1 kg a week, but it nvr happen that way. Even when I was on fad diet. I change my plan to be more realistic. now, I expect 0.5 kg lost in a week. in april I lost 3 kg in a month. Let's say if I can keep that pace, am gonna be 73 kg on january 1st, 2013, then 55 kg on july 1st, 2013. But body seems doesnt work that way, I know am gonna hit plateau and there will be bad days.0 -
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it
It will take commitments and motivation but your success so far shows that its possible
Well done huny!

Your looking at losing about 1.8 pounds a week which is definitely achievable! This is just for a year too
x
U want to lose 39kg= 86lbs
86 / 12months = 7.16
7.16 / 4weeks= 1.79lb
= 1.8lb a week!! Go for it missus!0 -
That sounds very reasonable, how tall are you? is 55 kg not to low for you? I am 165.5 cm and my goal weight is 68-72 kg, but it all depends on your bodytype, musclemass and your height :-) I always set monthly goals (usually 1.5-2 kg) so I wont get disapointed, I am stalled now and I am a bit frustrated but this is for the long haul and I will never give up:))) YOU GO GIRL!!! WE GOT THIS:))0

Starting weight 243 9/16/11
Current weight 191 5/16/12
Goal Weight 175 (Im going to see if I want to lose more when I am there)
That is an average of 6.5lb loss per month, so I should be at my goal in 2.5 months.. maybe August 1st? I would like to MAYBE get to 160 by my wedding anniversary in October so I can surprise my hubby with a boudoir photo set0 -

I'm 165 cm. 55 kg looks really good in my traditional dress. I've seen models wearing it, I know I shouldnt compare my body to model...but really, who doesnt want to look that good on your special day. I'm losing weight for wedding in oct 2013.0 -

Using the tool below a suggested calorie intake of 1320 - 1400 calories is required for 55 kg target in 18 months. You didn't say your height though. This assumes a daily energy expenditure (TDEE) initially of 2400 calories a day.
Edit: updated it with your height and it says 1452 calories for goal. 63 kg after one year.
The Body Weight Simulator was developed by Dr. Kevin Hall’s research group at the NIDDK and was published as part of The Lancet series on obesity:

oh...so it's not possible for me to get to 55 kg?
1452 for goal, is it just calories intake or net calories?0 -
1452 for goal, is it just calories intake or net calories?
Intake, assuming your activity level is such that your daily energy expenditure is 50% more than your BMR (initially 2544 calories)0 -

1452 is too low for me... am still strugling w/ 1590 cal intake, but I really want to look great on the D-Day.
So i hv to set mfp setting for 1.5 lbs lost / week.0 -

I set it to 1590 and it predicts 67.6 kg after one year.0
