DsiXL help please!!!

I have no idea WHO to ask...so I choose you guys! Please assist if you can! My son's 9th birthday is tomorrow. He has a Nintendo DsiXL system and asked for MarioKart 7. I didn't realize and neither did he that you CANNOT play MarioKart 7 on anything but a 3DS. Do you have any good game ideas that might be something he would like instead??? He has MarioKart, some Pokemon games, and a classics game with DigDug and games like that. I need to get something TODAY...Yikes! The joys of being a mom from the original Nintendo era! :laugh:

get him a 3ds? I have one I also got it on the original price of $250 :O
the 3ds has some really awesome games, I have about 5 on it that can't stop playing. Zelda ocarina of time, mario kart 7, mario 3d land, kid icarus and metal gear snake eater.

Ninjatown, if you can find it. So awesome. Super Mario Bros. If he likes adventure games, there are several Final Fantasy titles for the DS, and Legend of Zelda, and lots of others. If he likes puzzle games, Picross is a great one. I'm just looking through my own collection since I'm kind of out of the loop with the game world these days.

I would go to a GameStop or other dedicated game store if you can and ask the clerk there. They should be able to help you find something that he will enjoy.

Thanks all! Getting him a 3DS at this point is not an option. We bought the dsixl last year for his birthday. I will definately check out some of these ideas.
