Logging weight loss

Does anyone else wait to log in their weight loss until they are sure it is going to stick? I typically weight myself every morning (just out of habit) and if I drop a pound or two I normally wait a few days or more before I will even log the loss. So sometimes when I do log it states I lost 2-3lbs at a time when really it was more like 1lb per week but I saved it up.

  • I only weigh myself every couple of weeks, and I use the weight then - even if the weight loss hasn't quite stuck, it probably will in a day or so and either way by the time I weigh myself again, I'll probably have lost more.

Yes! I weigh myself daily- but only use Monday as my weigh-in day (because it's consistently my highest day). Usually I see much lower numbers throughout the week- but will not log them because I know it will go up.

I "officially" weigh-in on Tuesdays, but I may take a peek throughout the week just for fun.

This is kind of what I do.

I weigh in once per week. Usually Saturday mornings. But, I also do a couple of curiosity weigh in's during the week. I think of these as my "caution" checks!

I only log in the Saturday morning results and I do not add if nothing has significantly changed. ie + or - a single lb. So there have been weeks where I have lost a lb but have only added the loss to MFP the following week once I had accumulated 2 lbs.

This may not suit everyone but it has worked well for me.

I weigh myself every day, but my Official weigh in is Monday. I tend to eat more on the weekend so it is my highest weight for the week. The Monday weight I log.

I weight myself once a month, if the scale says a unbelievable number than I'll do it for a few more days before logging it in...
