Sometimes I forget to eat

Sometimes, Ill get hungry, feel my stomach growl and say Ill finsih what Im doing then Ill eat. There a have been a few times that when I do this Im not hungry afterwards and dont know that Ive done it until much later. For instance, dinner tonight, I was cleaning the house, made my girls some dinner, went and finished what I was doing then ran out of time because I had to go to yoga. I didnt want to eat when I got home becaue it was almost 8 and I cant eat that late. Does this ever happen to you, forgetting to eat? Not eating dinner tonight I only ate 600 odd some calories and got a warning. I know I should be eating more but sometimes I forget to. Tonight isnt the only night, and its not been since Ive been trying to make my lifestyle change, sometimes it happens like a couple of times a week, sometime once a week. Heck sometimes it skips a week. Anywho just wondering. Just putting it out into the universe.

Yeah, that's how I gained over 30 lbs in less than a year, hehe.
Invest in an egg timer (I got mine for $7 at Target).
Before you sit down to eat, set the timer to go off in 2.5 hours. Every time the timer goes off, force yourself to get up and make yourself something to eat ... no exceptions.
If you get up before the timer goes off, reset it back to 2.5 hours. That way, you wont go for longer than 3 hours without eating.0 -
I had a bad habit of postponing eating. I started taking popcorn or peanut butter crackers with me. Or I stop by the store and buy a yogurt and eat it. You just have to get it in your head that eating is important stop and do it. Keep handy things like peanut butter, boiled eggs, sliced ham or turkey and fruit in the around so you can stop for and minute eat and go back to doing what you were doing.
Is there any particular reason why you won't eat at night?0 -
Its not that I wont eat at night I dont like eating after 7 really. I do like the egg timer idea. Sometimes Im just not hungry. I also like having handy snacks around, I do love my boiled eggs!
Snacking is hard for me sometimes, I guess its the hard for me (or its me in my head) to consciencly eat every 2 or 3 hours. Does that make sense? It just seems like alot of eating. I will admit though if I do realize that I havent eaten dinner before I go to bed I try and drink a glass of milk. I know that milk isnt a meal I just want something in my tummy so I dont wake up at 3 and pig out. Ok pig out are the wrong words. so i dont wake up in the middle of the night hungry.
Edit: Ive got to go to bed. Ill be back on in the morning.0 -
I wish I had that problem. :bigsmile:0

I have to force myself to eat sometimes just because I've suppressed my appetite will all my exercise. It is worth it to feed yourself and keep the metabolism going! Don't forget! I always have some nuts in my purse so if I'm anywhere and I am hungry I eat. If you starve yourself or lower your calories too much, your body will think that's normal and then when you eat regular you'll gain weight.
Set out a plan, prepare and YOU CAN!

Yeah, get an egg timer. Eventually, you start to be able to anticipate the timer before it goes off ... Remember, eating every 2-3 hours is one of the best things you can do to fire up that metabolism.0
