Which HRM should I buy?

I am thinking about buying a HRM but there are SO many on the market I have been having trouble deciding which one to get. Any suggestions? Any HRMs to avoid?

Also - what are everyone's thoughts on how well these work and how accurate they are for counting calories? I have just been using the activities in the MFP log. Will the HRM be more accurate? Just want to make sure I am making a wise investment :)

My daughter swears by the polar brand. In fact both daughters do ... one is a wellness/fitness coach. I am looking at the FT4 i think it is. I don't need a lot of bells n whistles. Saw them online for about $60. I plan on ordering it next week for myself.

I bought the Polar FT4 recently from Amazon. Love it Love it (and I have had many).

Easy to set up and use (I hate reading instructions), accurate heart rate and calories burned. Found that the cardio machines were overestimating. Very useful tool.

How does it compare to the estimates done on MFP??
