I can't sleep and am frustrated out of my mind.
I get this often after a stressful day..

Any tips on how to relax myself and get myself tired? besides the most obvious of course.

I'm in the same boat. Very little sleep the past couple nights. I've not found much to help. Melatonin helps sometimes, but isn't consistent. Not much help, but I'll be keeping watch on this for ideas.

    Always helps me sleep ;P

But seriously, warm milk with honey is an old wives tale, it might work.

    Herbal tea... tarragon

The leaves and stems of tarragon are used as seasoning in cooking, and it imparts a sweet, rather anise or licorice-like flavor :)

Tarragon tea is typically prepared by taking a cup of boiling water and pouring over one tablespoon dried tarragon stems and leaves. Then let it stand for ten minutes. Drink tarragon tea warm.

    Deep breathing. Yoga. Mediation.

If I wake up in the middle of the night with no hope of falling back to sleep I just go running until I'm tired again.

I have some herbal/green tea and that seems to help. But give yourself a little time before bed so you can pee or you might be up peeing all night. That happened to me last night.

I agree with angryguy- but if that's not an option, I find that if I take a hot shower, have a cup of tea and read for a half hour or so, I can fall asleep.

I've been having the same issues for weeks. I worked out really hard on Monday and have not had any issues sleeping since. I plan on working out hard again today to hopefully continue this blissful cycle.

Days when I take Yoga I fall asleep and sleep like a baby. There is also a supplement called GABA which really helps as well.

    2. Dark curtains so its completely dark in my room
    3. turning the fan on and getting under covers...for some reason that makes sense to me
