Weight Loss Books

I'm interested in finding a good book or two about losing weight, and understanding my body and mind. I seem to continually sabotage myself and I need to STOP! I was hoping to get some help finding books that are easy and fun to read.

Please send me any suggestions! I would really appreciate it!

"You, on a Diet: The Owner's Manual for Waist Management"
by Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz

Dr. Oz has gone downhill lately, but when I read this book about 4 years ago, I found it very helpful for explaining exactly what is going on in your body. Does a good job explaining how you process food, how your organs work, how brain signals work, etc. The writing style is a bit over the top, but the information is excellent.

    "In Defense of Food"
    by Michael Pollan

This is another great book that focuses more on nutritional fads, traditional diets, and food culture in general. His main point in this book is to "eat food, not too much, mostly plants" and then he unpacks these 3 points. His background is as a journalist so everything is referenced really well.

Another simple book by Michael Pollan is "Food Rules". It's small, simple, and makes sense.
