Hey, name is Scott. I have ALWAYS been skinny my entire life. Could eat anything I wanted, never counted the first calorie until I was 22 years old! At 21, i started my career as a draftsman and sit behind a desk for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. I worked retail at Lowes Hardware and was in very fit shape before hand. I used to run a 5 minute mile in high school and 3.1 miles in 18 minutes in Cross Country.
I weighed 175 when i started my current job and within three months, gained 15 lbs and a pant size (up to a 34). Recently, my wife became pregnant and we are expecting our baby boy within three weeks now. I think i gained all of her weight (15 lbs for me) through this pregnancy. up to 203 lbs. I AM NOT used to it.
Recently, we started a Biggest Loser Corporate challenge at work and I joined in to get back down to 175 lbs again. I downloaded myfitnesspal app on my Android phone and have been tracking my food and exercise intake. I am down 5 lbs to 197 lbs and cant wait to hot below 190 again! According to the app, i can have right at 1400 calories a day (5'-8" @ 203 lbs when I started). Its been hard, but worth it. Tracking what I eat has made all the difference. Exercise alone is not enough!! Also changed what i eat. I drink water with almost every meal, eat more health conscious foods and exercise three to four days a week. Others are noticing a change too!
I hope to be back down to 175-180 by the end of this year for sure!
