Bodymedia Link and iPhone 4s users - Help me...

Ok - I have read and re-read all sorts of reviews. Some say that the link app does not work with the iPhone4s others say that with the new firmware update it syncs perfectly.
I really want to purchase the link as I am slightly addicted to my phone. I also have an iPad 2 and the bodymedia site does say that iPads are fully supported but I read reviews saying that it doesn't work the best on the iPad.
