Antidepressants and weight gain - Is there any hope?

I've been taking 200mg of Zoloft for over a year now, and - after meeting with my psychiatrist today - I'm being switched to Lexapro because he thinks I might not have as much weight gain on it. Of course, I immediately researched it, and I've found a bazillion cases of weight gain on ANY SSRI.
So basically, has anyone been on a high dose of antidepressants and lost the weight? I need that silver lining right now.

YES! I cut carbs and exercised my butt off, it was a few years ago, but lost 30lbs! It can be done, just a little more difficult.0

Yes, it can be done. It's not easy. I've been on antidepressants for 20+years. My dosage is not as high as yours but I also have hypothyroid problems. There is a silver lining just don't give up. Slow and steady will get the job done. Don't expect wonders while you are changing meds. I wish you well.0
