What does it mean to Cut and how do you it? This is in regards to body building...

    You cut fat. You doing so by cutting carbs. That way instead of burning through carbs you digest for energy, which is what typically happens, you'll break down the fat already present in your body and convert that into fat. You do this while upping your protein to minimize muscle deterioration as much as possible.

    "Cut" refers to the opposite of the bulking cycle, where a bodybuilder would be eating surplus calories to gain muscle (fat comes along with the gain). The cut means cutting calories back to a deficit in order to drop the fat and reveal the muscle.
