I need more support

I started this diet because my Mom was also doing it. I have her for support but she will be leaving to go on the road with my Dad, so she won't be here for that support. I talked my Fiance into working on losing some weight as he is a diabetic, and he did good for a month or so, but back to eating the way he use to. I have 2 kids and they support me, but always ask or buy junk foods that I would die to have right now, but know I can't, and won't eat it, but it's OH SO hard.
I keep telling my Fiance to please stop bringing it into the house, or around me, if he does. He does for a couple weeks, but then it's back to buying Little Debbie, pints of ice cream, and other junk food. I have a strong will power but it's hard when it's right there in my face. I feel he does this because he really isn't supportive of me, and doesn't want me to lose the weight.
I just need a little more back up, and reassurance that I can do this, since I feel I don't have it here at home.

Feel free to friend me. I run into this a bit with my extended family. Every get together is food-related, and both my mom and mother-in-law get a bit insulted if I don't eat like I've been starving on a desert island for months. I don't eat desserts anymore, but you won't believe the comments I get. "But I made this for you!" "Oh, just a small piece won't hurt!" (Like you'd tell an alcoholic one drink won't hurt!) It may piss them off, but I have to be strong. I do it for me! You can, too. If your fiance and kids bring junk into the house, just learn to ignore it. My favorite candy is (was) M&Ms. One time by husband bought a huge bag, poured it into a candy dish, which he left on the counter while he was gone for the week. He couldn't believe when he got home and they were still there untouched. I've learned if I don't eat one, I won't eat any. So really, you're just telling yourself, "Don't take that first bite." It does get easier and you will find your resolve getting stronger!0

I just started today and feel that I need some support help also! Dont be dicouraged when after a few days or weeks he starts to bring "bad stuff" in. You just have to keep reminding him! Men forget things so easy. As for the snacks for the kids, I find that low sugar popcicles are the best!!! I have a 4 year old who LOVES sweets... now that its warm this is his new favorite snack. I struggle with watching what I eat to the point I was hiding snacks from my husband so he wouldnt get on to me hoprfully I can help ya out0

Anyone needing support, feel free to add me. I am happy to try to help by providing support of by giving suggestions. I have a MEGA-appetite particularly for everything I SHOULDN'T eat and have actually been really good at working on changing that. (I have Celiac's disease, so I definitely had extra motivation. But never-the-less, I have been able to make the change without too much misery!0

You got me. I went through this with my stb ex. In the past when I would try to diet, hewould bring home junk food knowing I can't eat it. He would go on and on about losing 10 pounds without even trying, while I was busting my butt to lose 2. He would always tell me "you're not fat. I like you the way you are". Clearly, at 388 pounds, I am beyond fat.
I'm not saying to get rid of your fiance, but sometimes people just don't pay attention to what others need.
I'm here and close by if you ever need someone to talk to, vent at, or share the small and large victories with. You are the one that got me started on this.0 -
I can relate as well. Last year when I was trying to lose weight I ran into the same issue with my family. Everybody else kept bringing in the junk and eating it around me. I almost felt like I was being sabotaged. This time around has been a bit easier though, I let them know how I felt and strengthened my resolve. It also helps now that my wife had the gastric sleeve done. No more junk food in the house period.
My will power is really strong but I still slip every now and then. I just have to work harder when I do.0
