Hey everyone..just wondering about a few things i am going to be starting rollerblading and i want to know if it is good exercise? if burns enough calories to do for a workout? if it tones your muscles? just curious b/c i haven't rollerbladed since i was in like my teens so it has been a very longgggggggg time....am i going to be like dying after my first rollerblading sesion. just trying to make myself prepared :bigsmile:

any and all information would be great..this will be a learning thing i think : )

    Lol rollerblading is a great workout, IMO! I used to do it for 1-1.5 hours 5 times a week and lost 2 inches from my thighs (I was also eating less and doing the occasional weight lifting). I had to work up to that long and you will probably be dying when you first start, but it's so much fun and definitely worth it! I just dug out my old rollerblades and went a couple of days ago and can't wait to go again.

    Thanks for the info i am super excited and looking to loose some inches off my thighs and butt and maybetone my leg muscles : ) so can't wait!!!!

    I got rollerblades a couple weeks ago so I could skate with my daughter, I am still taking baby steps on my patio. There is a park by me where I would love to go, but I am nervous about any inclines and not having the greatest stopping power yet,especially with cars around. I used to rollerblade when I was a teenager and I had killer thighs back then. I was a lot more fearless back then too it seems :-) Good luck to you!
