How important are macros?

If you still within your calorie range, how important is it to hit your macro goals for each day?

I know protein is important since I'm doing weight training, but it can be hard to get enough when I can't do protein shakes/bars since I don't do well with sugar alcohols. Whey protein also makes me sick.

    Protein is important for sparing lean mass.
    Fat is important for skin, hair, hormones, other health related operations.


    I wouldn't neglect either.
