My food scale sucks. It kills on batteries and may or may not have been thrown or dropped repeatedly.
I want a decent scale but relatively simple. Also one that does go thru those expensive batteries too fast would be great.
Suggestions?

this one (or one very similar, I'm at work and can't check the brand and it was bought several years ago). It was recommended by my husband's diabetic doctor as a way of determining carbs in home-made food. It (should) has a booklet with it that has codes for a fairly large variety of foods thatyou can punch in and it will tell you calories, fat, proteins, carbs, etc for the specific weight listed. This works great if you don't feel like measuring out 1/2 cup of this or a tablespoon of this or or 20g of that.
this reminds me that I need to start using it again, as we are both healthier when I do so.0 -

Thats the one I have. It worked great until I cooked it. I bought another one, the same one.
I've never had to change the batteries.0
