I am trying to make healthier choices with my meals but I am finding that what I think is healthy puts me over my fat count for the day as well as my protein count. Any ideas or suggestions on some different types of foods I could try. Right now I have done sweet potatoes, tuna in water with almonds, fresh veggies, chicken breasts...all of which are putting me way over in protein for the day!!!! Thanks so much and I am super excited to be a part of this site :)

what are your serving sizes like? My dietitian has me eating I think 7 servings of fat. according to her paperwork 6 almonds is one serving. before her plan I was WAY overeating. I mean on the bag it says I can eat a LOT more. Eat more veggies. NO FAT there!
I don't care if I go higher on my prot because I work out a lot.
My meat serving is 8. basically 1oz = serving. Dinners I normally do 4 oz serving. I only get one fruit serving a day.
So you may think your eating healthy, but you may still be making portion mistakes. I would also cut more carbs if you can.

I do not know what your fat nor protein allowance is to put you over the top... mine last year when in weightloss ...protein I made sure i got a minimum, of 60 grams ...that was my main concern...and somedays I may have had 100...i didnt worry as long as i got in 60g and my cals reamined 1200 and below. my fat intake i never really watched...i made sure i chose low fat to no fat...just in looking they went from 17 to 38 grams of fat a day....whether if that means anything.
