Eat more. 1200 is too low for most people. How many pounds do you want to lose? What is your weekly weight loss goal set at?

Personally I never net less than my BMR.

i have 57 more to go. i've lost about 16 lbs in 3-4 months. i want to lose the most a week that is healthy which i think is 2 a week. my excercise generally consists of 15 min of jogging nonstop. i do a little bit of walking which is generally about an hour but i do that about every other day.

You should be consuming ATLEAST your BMR. Minimum.

MFP uses a very simple calculation by subtractice 500 calories per each pound you want to "lose per week". You may have unrealistic expectations to lose said "x pounds per week" (i'm assuming you chose 2 lbs). Perhaps you should change it to 1 pound per week?

Consuming between your BMR and your TDEE will result in weight loss. Consuming too little can be detrimental to health, cause muscle canabalism, and stall your progress. ;)

ok awesome thanx. so i guess i definately need to up my calories. according to the math the 15% deficient from my tdee will put me to eating 1983 calories a day. do i eat back excercise calories or no because i read that the tdee takes in ur actiity level

If you're tired all the time you should eat more. As long as you're eating less than your TDEE you should be losing, but eating too little for your daily needs isn't going to be sustainable and you're more likely to give up and gain the weight back.

It depends if you took your exercise into account when you chose your activity level. I chose sedentary and therefore any extra exercise I do I can eat those calories back if I want them, but if you choose active because you work out every day then don't eat those calories back. Hope that helps!

ok great thanks. 1730 is what i get not counting my excercise. 1983 is what i get choosing light active. i do 15 min jogging nonstop practically every day. and walking every now and then. so which should i choose. is that considered ligh active or sedentary
