I couldn't tell you when the last time I ate McDonalds was. I've never, ever felt good about my decision afterward and always forget how it makes me feel!

My lunch is my time for "fast food" - either a restaurant or the cafeteria at the office. I've started looking at the calories vs. what's going to satisfy me until I get home to cook for myself. In looking at the calories of what I USED to eat vs what I eat now - it's INSANE. I didn't think about getting a quarter pounder meal and then coming back to work and grabbing a candy bar or a bag of chips. Now I plan my whole day's food by the time I go to lunch, and I stick to it. If I feel like Taco Bell, I go to Taco Bell and get fresco chicken tacos and that satisfies my craving for "fast food." I don't feel like I'm depriving myself of anything just because I don't have cheese or sour cream on my tacos.

BTW - my coworkers are the worst - "let's order Chinese" or "we're all going to Chili's for so-and-so's birthday and everyone HAS to go" and "why are you ordering a salad and water? you aren't getting dessert!"

My choices are just that - MINE. I have a daughter who's almost 10, and I want her to see me making healthy/healthier choices even if we're on the go.

Thanks, that is a helpful link. It's based on 150# on treadmill at 6.0/10 min., mile...I hope to be able to build up to 6.0 for at least 10 mins....
