What do you wear when you workout? Shorts and T's, long pants and sweaters. There are women walking in sweaters and long pants, WHY are they torturing themselves in this heat? Any clues?

I wear long pants and sweaters sometimes, it makes me sweat more....I dunno, more sweat more weight lost???? Good theory....right?0
-
as for the long pants....maybe they're like me sometimes and don't feel like shaving all the time:laugh:0

I wear pants because my thighs rub together when I wear shorts. It gets irritating. I can't wait for that not to be the case eventually. As for a shirt, I wear a T-shirt in warm weather and sweatshirt when it is chilly.0

it honestyly depends on what kinda exercise i am doing.. if im biking i wear pants and tank or a tee...if i am at home its usually shorts and a tank.....if i am walking probly shorts and a tee....think it all depneds on the person and what they feel most comfortable in0

I either wear yoga pants and a T or a tank top.....I hate my legs so I don't wear shorts except at home. If it's chilly I like to layer, like a long sleeve shirt under a T so I don't have to be too bulky in a big coat or something.0

Some of the women are just walking the trail here and they are dressed for winter. I think that they are more sweat bigger loss. But isn't that just water? Does it really matter what we wear?0

Either tennis skort or yoga pants with sports bra and baggy tank top or t shirt. I gotta cover my butt up because it's the biggest part of my body
I'd think that the sweating mentioned above is just water weight?0 -
I like yoga pants (capri or long), sports bra, and fitted sleeveless tops. The loose ones get in the way when I'm trying to do yoga or weight training and even some of my cardio classes. I do usually keep a light workout jacket handy for when I'm cooling down.
I like materials that wick away the moisture because I sweat a lot.0 -
I work out in the privacy of my home so I just wear shorts and my sports bra. Feels great!!
If I was out in public it would be long pants and a big t-shirt for me. I don't like for everyone to see my ugly body!!

I can't work out in t-shirts. I used to, but I started wearing Nike and Under Armour shirts that aren't made of cotton, and now I can't go back! T-shirts make me sweat too much.0

I wear capris and a tank top.
Here is a link to answer the sweat question:

Essentially the answer is sweating more doesn't make you lose fat or tone up more quickly. Personally I like to have the fan blowing on me because I don't feel as tired when I'm cooler so I can work out better.0 -
When I am out walking I am usually wearing a pair of light capris (that are getting too big) and a tank top. It is around 30 Celsius here lately, so I wouldn't even dream of wearing anything more than that. When I am at home it is the capris and my sports bra. I am still a little big to fit into the really cute workout clothes so I will stick with this until then.0

I wear the real cute workout clothes Ocean_91 is referencing. Bought at Wal-Mart for real cheap. So yoga capris, sports bra plus fitted top or tank and a jacket on windy nights. It is really warm here but the winds pick up in the evening where I live. My workouts usually consist of walking the mountain, yoga or billy blanks' bootcamp. I have also started wearing weights when walking.0

If I'm at home on the elliptical I wear short shorts and my sports bra. I WISH I could wear that at the gym...but I don't. :noway:
Normally it's some sort of yoga pants and a tank top. I get REALLY hot when I work out and I HATE it so the less clothes the better!:glasses:0 -
A couple of years ago, I ditched the cotton for good.
For colder weather, I have a number of technical fabric layering options.
For guys, there's not that much variation--tee shirts and shorts.
Although if it's just me and the dog at home and I am feeling really lazy and want to put off doing laundry, I have done the stairmaster naked (just shoes)--now THAT'S world-class laziness!0 -

Doesn't that get a little uncomfortable. I could never go naked....even though they're fake, my boobs would jiggle too much!0 -

Stairmaster--OK
Running--NO.0 -
I work out at home, in my bedroom or after everyone is in bed and wear a sports bra shorts, with a fan on full blast. I get way to hot to wear a shirt or tank.0

I wear yoga pants or tennis skorts (shorts show too much leg and the skirts are loose) and a sports bra (I wish everyone would , puleeze) and usually a tank with a bra in it. I hate the bounce...I would duct tape if it wouldn't hurt peeling it off! lol0
