I suffer badly from this and not for any apparent reason. does anyone else suffer from this or does anyone know anything i should try to stay away from or can try to help??
my ankles regularly disappear and obviously this impacts my weight.

Have you talked to your Doctor and have you checked that your blood pressure is normal? I have this issue but I have HBP. My Doctor has given me diuretics to help, you can see if you can get those but you have to be careful that you don't lose too much potassium on them.
You can try cutting your sodium down below 1500 mg as some people "salt sensitive" retain water because of it. Also, drink tea as that is a very mild diuretic. It might help get the water down a bit. I would say your best bet is to reduce sodium and see if your MD would give you a mild diuretic.0
