How do I know how much of each category to eat? I'd only like to lose about 5 pounds but really want to tone up. I have been alternating cardio and strength training 6 days a week for 30 min. periods. Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm trying to net 1300 calories per day. After 6 weeks of training and calorie counting I haven's seen big results in my body. I'm looking for help!! Thanks!

Depending upon how much your working out, 1300 may not really be enough. Less weight doesnt necessary meal less calories if your working out... Starvation mode sucks
Also, to track protein it's 1.2-1.7 grams per Kilogram of your ideal body weight.
I've been told you want to keep your good carbs between 35-45%.
I work out for about 1 hour 4 days a week. 30-45 minutes of strength and about 20-30 minutes of cardio. My nutritionist told me that I need 1580 on workout days and 1300 on rest or light days.
Hope this helps.... Also if your not already, I would recommend looking up www.fitocracy.com.. Their amazing with workouts, help, keeping you motivated, and all that0
