I used to think that the return of acid washed jeans was the worst.

But lately I have seen a lot of kids (and teens) walking around with rattails. Blech!

FYI, if you haven't seen or don't remember here it is:

Girls over the age of 15 wearing big *kitten* clip bows on the side of their heads! I went to a football game at my college alma mater last year and my old roommate and I made a game out of how many we could count on the jumbo tron. I only graduated in 2007 so this must be reeeeallly new. And stupid-looking.

LOL. We don't actually have many rednecks where I live....it is other people....... for whatever reason this look was really popular in urban parts of California too.

Have you seen the designer jellies for like $300. That's even more stupid. ANd they looked like the cheap ones. No lining or anything. I just started laughing hysterically.

The fact that anyone would PAY to wear them again has me laughing. It wasn't THAT long ago. People have terrible memories, or terrible taste...probably both...lol

Have you seen the Jelly purses? I looked at one in astonishment this past winter. Like I would actually pay $400 for a purse so that everyone can see what I'm carrying???? No thank you.

Oh how I loved my jelly shoes in the 80's! I must have had 10 pairs in various colors. That being said, I don't think my daughters would have any interest...I hope!

Those drop crotch pants! Unless your name is MC Hammer, there's no reason you should ever, EVER wear those (in my opinion!) ... there's a reason they went out of style the first time around.

    Noooo! Rat tails??
My oldest wardrobe is so similar to mine at her age. Neon. Splatter painted stuff. Jelly shoes. Remember how your feet hit all sweaty and stinky?? Slap bracelets...just upgraded to watches. I have a hard time buying her this stuff but she loves it. Gag me with a spoon. : P

I HATE those pants. They do not look good on anyone. They just make you look like you have a saggy vagina.
  • stirrup pants, I saw them in the store not too long ago, I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

Hah, yeah I saw a girl wearing them recently. Serious, just buy leggings, no need for those odd straps.

I see a lot of the 80's style coming back especially with the new Disney channel shows. This is disappointing to me because my daughter wants some of the clothes. I hated them then and I hate them now, I refuse to buy them for her. The neon cheap sunglasses I don't have a problem with because 9 times out of 10 she will loose them within a day or two.

Lol...in my hometown the "rat-tail" phase never left...and even worse, rat-tails with beads! Ugh.... I hated 80's fashion and I cringe when I see it all over the stores. I just PRAY that the "swishy" track suits don't come back!! lol :)

Stripes, leggings, mini skirts, a la 80's fashion are all over the place. But I'm not gonna lie, I love the tight mini-skirt look :)
