To use or not to use...

I'm curious about those calories earned from working out. What kind of results have you seen from using them vs. not using them. I know exercise speeds up metabolism and the body needs more fuel. Would love to hear your ideas and results!

If I don't eat any I get lethargic after a while and have no energy. If I eat all of my exercise cals I start gaining. I think MFP's calculators are too high, so for me I've found eating about half my cals works pretty well.

Are you using MFP to calculate your calories? If so, you should eat them.
Are you using another calculator to work out your daily calories? If so, you should check to see if they are already included, which is most likely. In this case, don't eat them.

EVERY calorie calculator I've ever seen suggests that you eat more if you are more active - MFP just adds them on after you've done the exercise instead of taking a guess up front about what you MIGHT do.

Why deprive your body of the nutrition it needs to stay healthy?

(And to answer your question - yes I eat more when I workout and it's worked very well for me).
