Sunburn
Options
Anybody know of any ways to make your skin less sensitive to the sun? I am a redhead and have extremely fair skin. I try to wear sunscreen anytime I go out for extended periods of time, but if I go out in the sun for 10-15 minutes or so without sunscreen I end up with splotchy red bumps/blisters on my face. Any old home remedies, vitamins/supplements, witchcraft (lol) out there that may make my skin a little more tolerant of the sun? Seems like every year it gets worse. Anybody know of any tricks, or am I SOL, and should buy stock in sunscreen.

Best advice....talk to a dermatologist. Bumps and splotches are not the norm. :ohwell:

I agree with MzBug on seeing a dermatologist. Maybe you have some sort of allergy.
You could also wear a hat outside if it's primarily on your face. I have a part of my neck that under no circumstances can get burned, so if I'm not in a position to slap sunscreen on I'll wear a hat with a goofy wide brim.0 -
