Back from my Wedding
I got married about a month ago and it took some time but I'm now back to tracking on MFP.... I stopped counting calories for my honeymoon (shock!) and have been pretty much eating whatever these first couple weeks of married life because it's been a whirlwind of busy. Surprisingly though, my first weigh in after being back was down from where I was while I was tracking...
I can blame stress or whatever but it doesn't make it any less upsetting. What I learned from this experience is that you can eat whatever you want and it doesn't matter because it won't effect your weight at all and hey, you might actually lose weight if you stop caring. That's completely illogical obviously but I can't believe that I put so much time and energy into eating the right things and exercising faithfully and only lost weight when I gave up. I feel like quitting and just letting my body do what it wants. Sorry that this isn't a very encouraging post but I guess I'm feeling pretty discouraged myself.
I didn't reach my goal weight for my wedding and I think I'll always regret that. It's not like I didn't try though which makes it that much harder to look at myself in my wedding pictures and be okay with the way I look. I've been making serious efforts to improve my health since October and lost a whopping 1 pound in 7 months.
I don't honestly think it's worth giving up being healthy over and I am going to try again but I'll never get married again and that's the one day when a girl should feel like a princess and not a cow.
