when to eat

When i was in the military back in the 90's... we told the men to eat a fruit or drink a shake right after Physical training. Is that still ok... i'm not talking like a full meal just some oranges or other fruit??

    You can eat whenever you prefer. There was a school of thought at one time that belived there was an optimum window for nutrition after a workout of the the first hour. Newer research indicates that the window of benefit for post workout nutrition is 24 hours. The 2 things you mentioneed, oranges or fruit are fine. You might want to mix some protein in there also.
