New Paleo

Hi there. I'm from Clearwater, FL, and have been on Paleo for about three months now. I've lost about fifteen lbs. and it just keeps falling off, but I think I'm reaching a plateau, so I decided to give myfitnesspal a try to track eating and exercise. I've had weight issues ever since my senior year of high school ('96), and my weight went up to 185-190. I'm 5'7" tall, so it didn't look too bad on me, but damn I wanted to look and feel better. So I joined Weight Watchers, lost fifty lbs., got into a very steady exercise regimen (2 hours of hard-core cardio and weight-lifting daily), but still felt like ****. I was eating what I thought was healthy...soy products, lean meats, hardly any red meats, no to little fat, and started gaining weight. My friend introduced me to Paleo three months ago, and I've been doing 95% pure Paleo since then, with great results. High energy, great hair and teeth, skin problems erased, and no more joint pain. I love eating only clean, natural products that are found in nature with no processing. Through this Paleo, I realized that the reason I was gaining weight and feeling like **** was due to two things: too little fat, too much soy and gluten. Without gluten and soy, my tummy feels so much better. I'd love to hear from more Paleos that are on here.
