Hi everyone,I've been here on mfp for a little over a yr,and had much success.I lost a total of 60 lbs, started at 242.But for that past few months I have been doing horrible.I've been eating crazy, not working out and and just been really depressed. My eating habits have just been so bad.I eat and eat until I feel full and sick, and I feel horrible, but the next day I do it again..I have never been this way,so I don't understand how it started.I was so motivated and determined to get to my goal weight, now it just seems impossible..I'm not writing this to get pity, but I really need help, someone that has been going thru this or has any advice, please just help because I don't know what else to do to control this..Thanks.

Increase calories? (more fats?)
Eat more frequently?
Maybe don't have "off-limit" foods?
One thing that's helped me with binges is to just let myself have what I want, just try to incorporate it into my daily limit. So today, if I want a Whopper, I'll go ahead and have that Whopper and SAVOR it... better than eating a few things you really don't want to eat then going ahead to eat what it is you really wanted..
BTW, your picture is inspiring, and you've lost sooo much weight! You look amazing!0 -
For me, binging is all about emotion. I have to figure out why I'm trying to sabotage myself before I can stop it. Journaling helps me. Once I figure out why I'm eating all the food in the world, then I can stop myself by taking it an hour at a time. I won't eat anything bad for me this hour, I don't know what will happen later, but for one hour I can be in control. Rinse and repeat every hour until I'm back on track.
Obviously your mileage will vary, but I have confidence that you'll find a way that works for you!0 -
Thank you for the ideas,I will do more research0

I have been struggling with binge eating also for a very long time, and just like u said i dnt even know why im doing it half the time. im still trying to figure it out, but to take it slow like hour by hour and journaling sounds like a good plan thanks.0

I feel your pain. I get on those kicks where I want to eat everyting even things that I don't like to eat. just because. It is so irritating. I had a week in NY City and gained almost 10 lbs. Toatl bummer. I just never feel full. I will try the journaling thing to get back on track.0
